The amazing transformation of a child blossoming into youth, from school to college needs a
holistic education. RGSC -BHU offers a wide range of Sports facilities to develop life skills and team
spirit. Outdoor and Indoor Sports Facilities: Every student is encouraged to take active part in
the Sports. The University has setup facilities/grounds for Cricket, Football, Basketball,
Volleyball, Table-Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Carom, etc.. Along with this, Annual Sports Meet is
also organised which includes athletics also.

Outdoor Sports

Being one of the most popular sports in college, Basket ball is played by a large number of
students in the evening.

A religion to most people in India thana Sport and for students over here is no different. The
infrastructure related to the game includes a cricket ground with natural turf pitches & synthetic
pitch for leather.

The university campus has a football ground with lush green grass for the most widely played
and followed sport in the world.

Every hostel boasts of a separate volley ball court for the students to play during their leisure time.

Being one of the most popular sports in college, badminton is played by a large number of
students in the evening. A separate badminton court is made in every hostel.

A newly furnished lawn Tennis court has been built for the students to polish their skills in such
a stylish game.

Indoor Sports

1.Table Tennis
Table tennis is available within the hostels for students to utilise their leisure time.

The Carrom board is provided in the hostel to refresh themselves.


In order to ensure a sound body and mind, students are given special attention on health and
fitness. A gym has been setup in the Sports complex & can be accessed by both boys & girls. It
operates in morning as well as evening.
The sports play a pivotal role in shaping one’s personality and maintaining good health. Thus
the university is built with a vision to provide adequate sports facilities to the students in order
to encourage team work & interpersonal relationships.
